HOW TO BECOME A WINGWALKER

We are based at Dunkeswell Airfield, Devon and also operate at Breighton Aerodrome, Yorkshire and Bodmin Airfield, Cornwall.

Meet the age, weight and fitness criteria and you will have an intense experience lasting about 10 minutes.
Families and friends can watch in admiration and take lots of pictures.
Stand on the wing of a 1940’s Boeing Stearman Biplane flown by a highly qualified pilot.
Complete a variety of flypasts and manoeuvres with the highlight being a dive from 500ft and a zoom climb with a final “Run and Break” before landing.

The Day

Full pre-flight briefing with detailed instructions.
Allow spending up to an hour at the airfield.
Fly as the wing walker in front of family and friends.
Record your flight from a wing-mounted camera
Receive a certificate as confirmation of your Wing-Walk Experience.

Weekend & bank holiday flights – £439

If you are Wingwalking in aid of a charity the cost is £399 – it’s possible to wingwalk for free by raising a minimum of £599 – please contact us for more details.


CHECKLIST

  • Under 77kg (12stone 2lb)
  • Be able to climb up the aircraft to the top wing where the Rig is fixed (about 10 feet)
  • At least 18 years old. If older than 65 you will require a Doctor’s signature confirming your fitness to participate in this experience
